Faucet Stop Valve Repair
Faucet stop valves (a.k.a. water shut off valves) are a crucial component of your home’s plumbing system. They allow you to shut off water flow, as needed, in order to prevent or minimize damage caused by leaks or other plumbing emergencies. At Tony LaMartina Plumbing Company, we provide professional faucet stop valve repair services to homes all across St. Louis.

How Do Water Shut Off Valves Work?
In the open position, a shut off valve allows water to reach whatever plumbing fixture it’s connected to (e.g., faucet, toilet, dishwasher, ice maker). In the closed position, the valve prevents water from reaching that fixture. This is very important because if you have a fixture that is leaky, clogged, or needs to be repaired, you’ll want to cut off its water supply ASAP. The stop valve allows you to do so without disrupting water flow throughout the rest of your house. In the event of a serious plumbing emergency (e.g., pooling water, flooding, a large leak from an unknown source), you can quickly shut off the water supply to your entire house by closing your home’s main water shut off valve.
